Wiske, M.S. (2006). Teaching for Meaningful Learning with New Technologies (Ch2). In E. Ashburn and R. Floden (Eds.), Meaningful Learning Using Technology: What Educators Need to Know and Do.

What do teachers need in order to promote meaningful learning with technology?
We should be using technology to enhance understanding of important subjects, not solely to motivate students to learn and give our assignments a digital make-over. If we agree that technology can assist teachers with creating better learning environments, then we must take a step back and analyze if and how our practice might change. Let's think through this potential (and some might say inevitable) reform, change, reconsideration.

In the table below, analyze one dimension individually and how reform, changes, and reconsiderations could take place. (Please consider other articles we have read over the course of the semester.)

Remember to weave in how complexity, fragility, authenticity, discontinuity, and conservation fit into this.
